Withrington Residence, Wondecla
This is my experimental project which I use to trial ideas without putting the burden on clients. We live off-grid with a composting toilet and rainwater collection. I've minimised embodied energy by reducing the enclosed footprint and using plywood to reduce framing requirements.
The whole house is designed to be able to be taken apart to allow non-destructive re-use and continual adaption.
Studio Residence, Kuranda
This is an off-grid sustainable dwelling custom designed for a couple.
The design minimises embodied energy by reducing built space. The design is carefully oriented to reduce summer heat gains whilst providing access to warming sun in the winter.
